Joanie Griffin is the CEO and founder of Sunny505. She has over 30 years of experience in the communications and marketing field—starting Griffin & Associates in 1990. As a successful small business owner, Joanie knows the importance of creating a memorable and lasting brand for a business. Though the media world has evolved greatly, Joanie has always adapted media strategies to most effectively serve her clients’ needs. Joanie has remained at the forefront of marketing and advertising by building communications plans that integrate shared media, owned media, paid media and earned media.
Dezaree Vega is the President at Sunny505. Dezaree immersed herself in learning the marketing, advertising and public relations industry as an intern at Griffin & Associates in 2002. Through demonstrated success with account management and industry knowledge, Dezaree was promoted within the company and named a partner in summer 2009. Her ability to manage multiple facets of complex projects for an array of clients across industries makes Dezaree a valuable asset to the team and to the company and led to her promotion to President of the company in 2015.
Dave is Senior Strategist at Sunny505. Dave has managed all aspects of the advertising business while establishing himself as a specialist in development of brand strategies incorporating an integrated range of marketing and public relations and provides key insight on strategy and creative direction. Dave founded HK Advertising in 1982, and is part of the leadership team of Sunny505. He is the consummate team leader who organizes staff and client interaction to everyone’s advantage.
Vera has 20+ years of experience in marketing, advertising and account service. Vera manages all aspects of client service including media planning and buying. Previously Vera worked with Hutton Broadcasting managing over 80 accounts for six radio stations plus santafe.com. She works with clients to develop campaigns that increase their share of voice in the market. Her years of experience in all areas of marketing, traditional and digital advertising, account service and promotional campaigns are an asset to all Sunny505 clients.
Senior Account Manager
Jerry is a Senior Account Manager. With more than 25 years in advertising and marketing, Jerry has experience gained from working in the agency, media and client environments in both account and creative development. In addition to managing the day-to-day affairs for agency clients, he will also help develop brand voice and presence through the use of traditional and new media channels. Jerry holds a B.A. degree in Public Relations from Texas Tech University and a post-graduate certificate in Advertising Copywriting/Design from the Portfolio Center in Atlanta. Previous clients have included Microsoft, Nissan, Southwest Airlines, Lovelace Health System, Kaiser Permanente, Allergan, MOMO USA and various nonprofits in education, music and the arts.
Rob has more than 30 years experience in sales and marketing with clients nationwide. In addition to his professional experience, he is an avid outdoorsman. Rob is a mountain biker, road cyclist, hiker, backpacker, hunter and fly fisherman. He has participated in more than 100 cycling events, has been an avid skier for 35 years, a hiker since he could walk and can frequently be found fly fishing his favorite rivers, many in the four corners region.
Education: B.B.A. in marketing from New Mexico State University in 1983.
SENIOR COMMUNICATIONS STRATEGIST
Keith is responsible for creative direction, client account management, and business development. As a longtime political media consultant, he helped numerous candidates win at the local, state, and federal levels. Keith also produced media campaigns for successful statewide ballot measures, public policy, and outreach campaigns. Keith has provided communication services for government, labor, business, and nonprofits, including the National Park Service, tech titans HP Enterprise and ASML, and luxury hospitality brands Four Seasons Resorts, Hyatt Hotels, and the Maui Visitor Channel. Keith attended the University of Iowa.
DIRECTOR OF DIGITAL SOLUTIONS
Dave has worked as a designer and programmer for Sunny505 since 2012. He has a long history of involvement in almost every segment of the industry. He has worked as a packaging designer, a design director, and production manager for both the Weekly Alibi and the Santa Fe Reporter. Dave has been a lead designer for Fantagraphics Books in Seattle, WA, as well as a successful, independent designer and web developer with a range of clients in both Albuquerque and Santa Fe.
VICE PRESIDENT OF PUBLIC RELATIONS
Jamie joined Sunny505 as an Account Executive in 2014 and was promoted to Vice President of Public Relations in 2016. She works with a variety of government, business, tourism and non-profit accounts to manage public relations and social media efforts, as well as providing day-to-day management of accounts. Dickerman has worked as a grant writer, Press Secretary for a U.S. Congressman, and Communications Director for the Republican Party of New Mexico.
Chief Creative Officer
Eric has designed award-winning campaigns for a range of prominent companies including Cumbres & Toltec Scenic Railroad, Buffalo Thunder Resort and Casino, La Posada Resort and Spa and the New Mexico Department of Tourism. He has also worked with The Santa Fe Convention and Visitor’s Bureau, Bishop’s Lodge and others. Previously Eric was Senior Art Director at Earle Palmer Brown (EPB) in Philadelphia whose clients included Comcast, Cellular One and Baldwin Pianos.
In her role as Creative Director, Barbara has worked with clients to design logos, corporate identification packages and to provide them with an online presence. Prior to joining the Sunny505 team, Barbara owned and operated her own company in Costa Rica, which served a number of international, primarily tourism, clients. She began her career in New York City design studios that served clients such as Dow Jones, Christies Auction House, the National Audubon Society, Random House, Viking Penguin and Thames & Hudson.
ASSOCIATE CREATIVE DIRECTOR
Shannon Carey Wyman has been with Sunny505 full-time since 2009. Initially hired as a Graphic Designer, Shannon was promoted to Creative Associate and Senior Graphic Designer in 2016. She develops high-impact creative campaign solutions, including multi-channel designs, logos, illustrations, and television production to bring clients' stories to life. With a keen and discerning eye for determining target audiences and developing creative concepts to resonate with those audiences, Shannon has added competitive value and even garnered awards for several clients' creative productions. A New Hampshire native, Shannon holds a Bachelor’s of Fine Arts with a concentration in Graphic Design from Plymouth State University.
Senior Graphic Designer
While in pursuit of a Bachelor's degree in History at the University of Vermont, Jon Scott connected with graphic design in his minor studies. After graduating and a year at Burton Snowboards at their Burlington headquarters, Jon's exposure to design while at UVM ignited further studies at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design and the School of Visual Arts. Since then, and now for more than 20 years Jon has created with pixels, paper, and ink for big public brands and small private organizations of all kinds as a designer and art director.
Jon relocated to New Mexico from the Philadelphia area with his wife and two children in 2014 and has designed for local clients such as Amore, Bosque Brewing, Red Rock Roasters, The Public Library of Albuquerque & Bernalillo County, Central New Mexico Community College and partnered with digital shops Ideum and StoryLab Interactive among others.
LEAD GRAPHIC DESIGNER, Photographer
Angelo earned a BFA in Media Arts with an emphasis in film production. He has worked on music videos, documentaries and staging interviews. His work at Sunny505 includes design and production for a wide range of print applications including advertising, brochures, posters and out-of-home advertising. Previously he worked for the Ameri-Corps in their cultural technology program with State museums and with the New Mexico State Department of Tourism.
GRAPHIC DESIGNER, account coordinator
Nicole graduated in 2015 with a Bachelor of Science in Graphic Design and Communications. Prior to graduation, Nicole interned at Bella Media Group in Santa Fe, home to nine major publications in New Mexico. During her Undergraduate program she worked with the non-profit organization West End Streets in Dallas, TX to design and revitalize a new brand identity for their organization. Her work at Sunny505 includes design and production in a variety of projects; while also coordinating and communicating with the client. She recognizes the importance of being flexible and adaptive to the client's needs.
As a media strategist, Gabe is responsible for developing winning media campaigns across digital media, social media, TV, radio, and more to move the needle for our clients. Gabe has a passion for using data-driven tactics to get messages in front of the target audiences clients need to reach.

James Turk is President of Solutions Group, Inc., Certified Public Accountants. He also serves as Sunny505’s Chief Financial Officer advising us on all money matters.
