Accepting the 2019 Silver Medal Award

David Hayduk Honored with Lifetime Achievement at the American Advertising Federation—New Mexico

On February March 16th, advertising and marketing professionals from around the state gathered for the annual New Mexico Advertising Awards. The annual event honors creativity and innovation in advertising and marketing throughout the state and is one of the signature events organized by the American Advertising Federation—New Mexico (AAF-NM). In addition to honoring unique advertising creative, AAF-NM bestows the Silver Medal Award upon one individual who has made an outstanding contribution to advertising in New Mexico. This person must be active in furthering the industry’s standards through creative excellence and consistent contributions to both their company and the community at large. This year, AAF-NM recognized David Hayduk President and Chief Executive Officer at HK Advertising Inc..

David started his career in the advertising industry in the 1970s. He founded his agency – HK Advertising, in 1982, and at the beginning of the year formed a strategic alliance with Griffin & Associates to create a new agency, Sunny505.

He has won numerous awards over the years, including many ADDYs and was inducted into the Tourism Hall of Fame and won Tourism Marketer of the Year.

“David Hayduk exemplifies the attributes of the Silver Medal Award,” said AAF-NM President, Elizabeth Zupkow, “his impact on the advertising industry and the state of New Mexico continues the long standing legacy of the Silver Medal Award. Like the recipients before him, David’s achievements will inspire New Mexico’s advertising talent for years to come. The American Advertising Federation-New Mexico was established in 1959. Today it serves as New Mexico’s advertising voice and is an official chapter of the American Advertising Federation (AAF).
