Laura Smigielski Garcia’s career in advertising and media started at the young age of 11 when she became the first “paper girl” with the Detroit News. Laura delivered the daily news to more than 200 customers every day for several years. She is a graduate of the University of Michigan. Her career has spanned four states from Michigan to Florida to Louisiana and finally here in New Mexico, where she has called home for 36 years. The founder of Marketing Solutions, a 31-year old full-service advertising, marketing and public relations agency, Laura was thrilled to merge her business with Sunny505 in 2023. She regularly volunteers in the community having served on numerous boards. Currently Laura is a trustee for the New Mexico Museum of Natural History & Science. Laura has been married for eighteen years to Phillip Garcia and is “mom” to a 3-year old COVID puppy named Piper.
